Elinor Courson, LMFT
Elinor works with her clients to intentionally fine-tune the strengths and skills they already possess, helping them create more meaningful and positive interactions in their daily lives and relationships. She specializes in relationship issues, grief, and abuse recovery, with additional training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and eating disorder treatment. Using an integrative approach that extends beyond traditional “talk therapy,” Elinor often incorporates play, sculpting, psychoeducation, art, and humor into sessions to help clients achieve their goals. Her top priority in the therapy room is to create a space where all emotions can be expressed openly and honestly while helping clients learn to experience, manage, and communicate those emotions in ways that foster intimacy, healing, and connection.
Elinor holds a Bachelor’s degree in Family and Child Sciences from Florida State University and a Master’s degree in Human Development and Family Sciences with a specialization in Marriage and Family Therapy from Oklahoma State University.
