Penni Byrd, Student Intern

Penni is a Marriage and Family Therapist Intern who offers a compassionate and grounded presence to adolescents, individuals, couples, and families who are navigating the complexities of being human. With 17 years of experience as a licensed massage therapist, Penni brings holistic awareness to her work, recognizing how personal burdens can quietly shape our lives.  She provides a warm and nonjudgmental space where clients can begin to release what they’ve been carrying, reconnect with their inner strength and imagine new possibilities.

Penni is especially passionate about working with people through the complexity of relationships, where we often seek the most meaning and connection, but also encounter the deepest challenges.  She walks alongside her clients with curiosity, empathy, and hope.

Penni holds a Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Science, with a minor in Counseling and Educational Psychology, from New Mexico State University. She is currently pursuing her graduate degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at Texas Woman’s University. Penni is supervised by Dr. Rachel Falbo, LPC-S, LMFT-S.
